The Israel Land Authority has approved a High-Rise Project on Tel Aviv’s beachfront at the site of the Dolphinarium which had fallen into neglect. A nightclub near the Dolphinarium was the site of the 2001 terrorist bombing that killed 21 young people. The site is said to be 18.5 Dunams.
Opposition is coming from people in surrounding neighborhoods who don’t want more tall towers blocking their view. The deal still has to be approved by the District Planning and Construction Committee.
