What do Zimbabwe, New Orleans and Bat Yam have in common?
In this case, these 3 places were stops along the way in the making of Aliyah for a young man by the name of Zachary Elkaim. Zachary was born in Zimbabwe, went to College at Tulane University in New Orleans and while the school was temporarily shut down due to the damage caused by Hurricane Catrina, Zachary was able to attend Tel Aviv University on a scholarship. After finishing at Tel Aviv University, Zachary was hooked on living in Israel. He returned to finish his studies in New Orleans then shortly thereafter in 2008, made Aliyah.
